Los Angeles/ Sherman Oaks - Picture This Land

We added a dramatic stairway to anchor this property and connect it to the neighborhood. The stairs incorporate the large Oak trees that dominate the front yard, making them a functional focal point. The grey charcoal colored concrete is complementary to the dominant trees and serve as a backdrop for brighter foliage such as the Salvia Apiana, and the pink bloom of the Pink Mulhly. Strategically placed landings in the staircase offer visitors ample time and space to admire the native planting palette before arriving at the front door.
